Abu Tammam (788-845 A.D.)

An outstanding Arab Abbasid poet.  Whose poems were characterised by a high degree of excellence.  His style was most famous for his vast imagination and proverbs.  He composed many poems but was most known for a poem which he wrote after the Caliph Al-Mu’tasim’s victory at the battle of Amoria.
